The Women's Center at Scotland Memorial

The Women's Center is located on the second floor of the hospital and consists of Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics/ Gynecology and a Level II Nursery. The Center includes 14 maternity beds and four beautifully decorated LDR rooms. Postpartum rooms are totally private - allowing privacy and quiet for bonding with the new baby. The OB/GYN unit and LDR allow staff to treat both low and high-risk pregnancies and perform antepartum testing.

Following recommendations by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, access to the Center is controlled by the Nurses Station and visitors must request permission for entry. All visitors to the Women's Center will be issued a visitor badge at the Nurse's Station, which must be worn at all times. Patients in the Labor and Delivery Rooms may receive three visitors at a time. Visitors under age 12 must be siblings of the newborn and even these little visitors will be required to wear "smaller" badges while visiting, though their badge will indicate they are a VIP visitor.

The Women's Center provides parents a positive home-like environment in which to bring their baby into the world. Besides outstanding maternity accommodations, exceptional physicians, and a certified nurse midwife, our nurses and other professionals are dedicated to making a stay at The Women's Center as comfortable as possible. Our goal is to help ensure that we meet your expectations.

The staff of the Women's Center is dedicated to providing women and their families the information and education they need to make informed decisions throughout the childbearing years.
