The Scotland Memorial Foundation Board of Trustees created The Highland Society in 2002 as a way to thank and recognize those exceptional donors who make generous contributions to Scotland Memorial Foundation of at least $1,000 in a calendar year. This level of generosity allows the Foundation to support Scotland Memorial Hospital in accomplishing its mission of offering quality, compassionate care - one patient at a time.
Annually, Highland Society members are invited to an elegant dinner. That evening is meant as a time of fellowship and appreciation of the generosity of the people of our community. Special care is taken at the dinner to recognize a distinct level of giving - the Skye Club. Donors who have given at least $25,000 since the year 2000 are members of that special group and are given life membership in the Highland Society. Each year, we are humbled by the fact that even in the tough economic times we have experienced in our community, region and nation, the number of donors who support the Foundation at this extraordinary level continues to grow.
One of our promises to members of The Highland Society is that we will keep you informed of what is taking place at your community hospital. To that end, we will make opportunities, such as special luncheons, to thank you again for your generosity and to let our friends hear firsthand about the special projects, programs and challenges occurring right here at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
